Suzhu PU-Pro Series Pouring Machine

a) Four degrees of freedom A, X, Y, Z;

Auto-pour MGM-PU-250
- Automatic lip pouring - camera controlled
The MGM-PU pouring automate is produced in Germany and is suited for work in fully automatic mode.
The design of the Auto-ladle Pour MGM-PU is compact and allows free access and safe setting of the ladle to the exchange roller conveyor, by crane or forklift. The automatic changing of ladle guarantees a stable fixing of the ladle location in the machine. Electro servomotors perform all movements and ensure continuous precise work.
Ladles are equipped with a manual tilting device, allowing tilting back of the ladle for slag tap.
GJV modification in the ladle is possible.
The ladle design (teapot type) allows a smooth and reliable flow of liquid metal into the mould, turning the ladle around the ladle spot axle and
keeping the distance between ladle spot axle and mould (pouring height) stable during pouring operation.

Automatic pouring control
Automatic filling of the mould with liquid iron is performed by visual camera control of the pouring stream and the pouring level in the sprue cup, as well as by permanent measurement of the pouring weight with load cells. The pouring temperature is permanently watched by non-contact pyrometer (type Keller MSR etc.).
To ensure high process reliability for each poured mould the important parameters like pouring weight, pouring time, pouring speed, pouring start/end procedure, pouring temperature range etc. are stored.
Other features are the precise controlled supply of inoculation material and synchronised pouring while moving the pouring line.


Pouring crane
- with automatic bottom pouring, movable
and positioning over mould lines
For automatic pouring of large moulds, standing in pouring lines, SUZHU did develop and start-up a special auto pouring using bottom ladles with stopper rods. At Guangdong FUWA Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. the automatic bottom ladle pouring works with flasks 2500 x 900 mm by productivity 42 complete moulds per hour. The system is used for pouring of steel and ductile iron with bottom pouring ladle 10 tons.
By overhead crane, the bottom-pour ladle is set into the movable pouring crane. The pouring crane clamps the stopper rod of ladle and moves the stopper hydraulically accordingly to the controlled pouring process, opening or closing the pouring spot on bottom of the ladle. The ladle supports on weight cells; the remaining metal weight in the ladle is calculated.
Data transfer to pouring crane
The pouring crane is executed with PLC control and network connection to the moulding plant and gets transferred from moulding plant information data for current and next to be poured mould: - the location of sprue cup
- pouring weight (target)
- pouring temperature (target)
Automatic positioning
The pouring crane is movable along the moulds in one or two pouring lines and locates its position over the moulds by transducers.
Automatic pouring process
The stopper rod of the pouring ladle is automatically opened after positioning of the ladle over the next poured mould.
Cameras control the complete pouring process, by image processing analysing of the level of metal in the pouring sprue.
Infrared measurement controls the pouring temperature.
Data transfer from pouring crane


The process control system transfers pouring data information to the foundries data network or to the moulding plant about: - ladle number
- pouring weight (really)
- pouring temperature (really)
- weight of remaining metal in ladle.
